Introduction to Food Contact Materials

Since 2005, the EU has issued the latest directive 2004/1935/EC on substances in contact with food. The full name is: Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 of THE   EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 October 2004－on materials and articles intended to   come into contact with food and repealing Directives 80/590/EEC and   89/109/EEC， Regulation 1935/2004 of Europe is a regulation on materials and appliances that come into direct or indirect contact with food, which will be enforced from October 27, 2006.
